Our first Omega Investigation, "A Light in the Dark," is scheduled to be released in July 2021. This 32 week study of World War 1 and World War 2 is geared towards youth ages 15–17 years old and is estimated to take about 6 hours a week to complete.
This investigation takes a unique look at history as the youth are mentored in seeing light amongst very difficult times in history. Though the theme of the unit is historical in nature, the investigation also includes material and activities that help the learner also develop their understanding and skills in the following areas: language arts (the youth are mentored through the writing process), visual arts, music, scripture, and nature.
More information will be coming soon!
The Omega Projects are similar to the Omega Investigations in that the theme is either focused on history, science, or the arts and also helps the youth to develop their understanding and skills in language arts, visual arts, music, scripture, and nature. However, where the focus of the Investigations are to guide and mentor the youth in helping them to widen their perspectives, develop their beliefs, and strengthen their character, the focus of the projects are to mentor the youth through the learning process so that by the time they complete the course they have created, designed, and developed a project that demonstrates their understanding and highlights the skills and talents they have learned.
The first Omega Project is scheduled to be released in Summer 2022. More information will be released at a future date!
