• History: In this Investigation the learner investigates the life, beliefs, and culture of those living in Ancient Greece. 
• Science: The science portion of this Investigation focuses on the physics subject of Simple Machines. Through reading, answering questions, participating in experiments, discussing concepts, and watching videos learners will understand what simple machines are, their identification and use in Ancient Greece, and how they are used in our world today.   
• Language Arts: The learner will read "The Children's Homer"which includes retellings from Homer's "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey" and will answer questions that cover comprehension and application to real life. Additionally, the learner will explore figurative language and Greek mythology through reading and writing activities.

• History: The purpose of this Investigation is to explore historical events, time periods, and ideas in Ancient Greece such as democracy, war, philosophy, etc. 
• Science: In the science portion of this Investigation, the learner will investigate the physics concepts of simple machines and the role they played in Ancient Greece life and war. Additionally, the youth will understand how simple machines are used in the world today.
• Language Arts: Language Arts skills are developed in this Investigation as youth read and analyze "A Story of the Golden Age," various articles, and poetry. Through the reading and corresponding activities, the youth develop vocabulary, demonstrate comprehension of the texts, and respond to insights they have. The insights lead to a final reflective essay that the youth are guided in writing at the end of the Investigation.
